STAUNTON, Va.
Michael Berger, owner of Newport Auto Center in Wilmington, Del., found
the car of his dreams at the Mecum Kissimmee Auction in Kissimmee, Fla.
Berger
was the grand prize winner of the Federated Auto Parts-Standard brand
Oxygen Sensors “Dream Car Sweepstakes.” He received an
all-expenses-paid trip for two to the Florida auction, plus $15,000 to
spend on the car of his dreams: a 1992 Mercedes SL500. “With so many
classic and muscle cars on display, it must have been pretty tough to
narrow it down to one car,” said Rusty Bishop, CEO of Federated Auto
Parts.
Bishop and Bill Collins of Standard Motor Products were on hand
at the Mecum Kissimmee auction which was held Jan. 28-31 and was
broadcast live during Mecum’s popular television series, “Mecum Auto
Auction: Muscle Cars & More.”
