Arthur E. Lottes Jr. passed away Friday, Sept. 2 at the age of 94.
Arthur was the beloved husband of the late Mary Ceil Lottes, (nee Paynter) for 56 years, loving father of Art Lottes, III (Mary), Mary Lottes-Guyette (Rich), Liz Barry (Bert), and Lyn Fuller (Mike), adoring grandfather of Andrew, Anna, Boone, Katie, Kevin, Christopher, Patrick, Kathleen, Mary Elyse, and the late Alex, loving brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and great-uncle.
Lottes served his country during World War II in the U.S. Air Force. Following the war he began a successful business career which spanned more than 50 years in the automotive aftermarket with A. E. Lottes Co., a CARQUEST member. He was well-known as a gentleman, an astute businessman and as a mentor to many. He previously served on the boards of AWDA and CARQUEST. He was a past recipient of the Northwood Education Award.
